Dear all
A warm welcome to our Harry Vardon, September Newsletter.
We have become very excited as to how many of you out there have become really interested in the Life & Times of the Golfing Legend that was Harry Vardon and how much he is a part of the game - after all it's estimated that 60,000,000 golfers around the world use the grip that he adopted and popularised!
This month we tell you about the people that have touched Harry's life - in particular Peter his son.
The following profiles include Peter, his wife Audrey , Tommy Horton , Gerald Palmer , Maureen Ratel and myself . In posting these we hope it will help you to begin to get to know us and feel part the Harry Vardon Family.

Nick Le Couteur and Ray Ping at La Moye Golf Club, Jersey
It was a great pleasure earlier this year to meet up with Ray C. Ping, the President of Harry Vardon Golf USA at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando at the end of January. Ray and his wife Jenn subsequently paid a visit to Jersey at the beginning of April, and it was great fun to show them Harry's unique collection of six British Open and 1900 US Open medals on display in the Jersey Museum.
We took them to the Statue and played the Royal Jersey links. The day after following a series of business discussions, it was up to La Moye, where I had the privilege to be Captain in 2003, to show them our Museum and of course to play the course - I think honours were even!
We have to thank people who are kindly telling us news snippets about Harry. If you have any information that you would like share with the Harry Vardon Family, then just drop us an email - photographs in particular.
In anticipation, I send you our best wishes from all of us here in Jersey.
Kind Regards
Nick Le Couteur
